A technical indicator is a mathematical transformation of the price and/or volume of a financial instrument to predict future price changes. Based on the signals of technical indicators, decisions are made as to how and when to open or close a position. According to their functional properties, indicators can be divided into two groups: trend indicators and oscillators. Trend indicators help to highlight the price movement in one direction and determine the moments of trend reversals synchronously or with a delay. Oscillators allow you to determine turning points in advance or synchronously.
When setting up indicators, in addition to analytical characteristics, you can set the colors of the elements, line thickness and the size of the symbols used. In addition, in the "Display" tab, you can change the display mode of an object on different timeframes (periods). In this case, the indicator will be shown only for the selected periods. This tool is useful if the tool has different settings on different timeframes.
